I am a newbie, so take what I tell you with a grain of salt. According to the procedure in "Repairing fixing audiosynch problem"(sic) in the "Edit" section, it is relatively easy to repair. I do not know if I have beginner's luck, but it worked just fine for me while I had the same problem with a promotion ceremony I had taped. I do not remember where I saw the term, probably on this site, since I spend so much time here, but it is called video leading the audio. Good luck.

I'm having the same problems. My mpegs are fine, tho. Only the VCD is weird. But even weirder is that it plays fine in some DVD players. Go figure... Let me know if you found what the problem was.
Thanks, -
thats a really long and greuling process. Its even dumber that I used TMPGEnc to encode it in the first place, then it got out of osync, so than I decode, and re-encode? wtf I guess TMPGenc is not all its cracked up to be.

Not really, Bruce_Deluxe. It is a large guide, but if you readit, you will see that only three or four steps apply to your problem. That was all I needed, anyway.

I gotta say I have the same problem. If I convert a divx file into an mpeg(vcd) using virtual dub and tempgc I have sometimes a few glitches when playing on my dvd player. Any downloaded files as mepg plays fine though. Which lead me to beleive that my encoding is my problem...although I am a beginer and I am following the guides on this site. The annoying thing is that they play fine on my computer but not on my dvd player...another thing i realized is right after the glitch if I rewind it wont do it again! But if I watch the movie through it without stopping or rewinding it still does it. I tried different kind of cd-r or cd-rw (imation, phillips, samsung) I am in korea teaching right now and I cant get other kind...except for cheap taiwan chinese ones. How can we resolve this problem.....???Any luck anyone?
