  1. Hello all, thanks in advance for the replies.
    Here is my problem. I have downloaded a DIVX/AVI using a 14.985 fps. When played thru Media Player, the video and audio are in sync from the start to the back.

    I have tried several ways of making this into a VCD using tools such as TMPGENC and VIRTUALDUB following the well designed guides. First, I tired just taking the AVI into TMP, selecting the VCD-NTSC template and using the AVI as both video and audio source. 8 hours later (I have a P2 but I'll probably need a better laptop) I had a MPEG that when I played it in Player, the audio was ok in the beginning but gets steadily worse by the end of the movie. I then tried the extraction method of creating a WAV out of VD (about 660meg) and using it as the audio input source and keeping the AVI as video with a NTSC-VCD template. Another 8hrs later the same result happened on the MPEG. I also burned the MPEG to a VCD at about 4x just to see if it was perhaps the computer and the DVD player had the same problem.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all.

  2. Divx = 13fps
    VCD = 25/29.970fps

    Do the math
