    Hello !
Seaching over the net, I never found any conversion guide that explains how to make this type of conversion(20fps -> 23/25/29fps).

There's any way to make this?

  2. wow, never would want to do that. what are you going to replace the missing frames with? usually it's the other way around like 29fps -> 23fps. you can use tmpgenc encoder to do this, but i've never tried it. are you trying to make it compliant with a certain format?

  3. I would just keep the 20fps. If you encode to a higher fps you will loose major quality. Especially if you go from 20 > 29.97 or whatever.

As the person above mentioned it's the 'other' way.

    Well..
    Thanks for the explanations..

    but only other question...
"WHY anyone capture/convert movies to this Framerate?"

Just to save space on disk?

    This make my head hurt!

  5. yes, saves a LOT of disk space, makes the movie size smaller and you can increase quality by decreasing the number of frames per second you have, even though you are going to make the movie sluggish and choppy by doing so. i would never want to make a movie less than 25 fps. 29fps is the best

  6. Not that the quality would be as good as the original file(20fps) but what you are asking is done all the time by people using this site just look at this http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm. Read step 2 under encoding.

I personally have done this and the quality isn't that great, but if you really want to watch the movie then give it a try on a cd-rw.

    Hope this helps
