how come dvdit wont burn my .ac3 file
it says that there are to many channels
does any1 know to fix this problem

Sumu,
DVDit LE & SE do not support AC3. DVDit PE only supports 2 channel AC3. (sounds like you have a 5.1 channel ac3 file)
1) Convert the AC3 stream to wav or pcm or mpg or whatever. (audio tools are available from the 'tools' section on the left) Then use DVDit PE to convert to 2 channel AC3. (not my favorite option)
2) Look for a copy of SpruceUp. This authoring app imports 5.1 AC3. If you search via KAZZA (this is where I found my copy) you will locate a copy.
