svcd cutting problem

hi im having problems cutting my svcds, first i tried tmpgenc but when it was finshing up it always froze and the resulting clip had no sound near the ending, then i tried mpeg2vcr and it worked fine but after i burned it i played it on windvd and other players , but gradually the sound and the video would no match rendering the svcd unwatchable. so does anyone have any suggestions of what im doing wrong with these programs or what program i should use when cutting an svcd?

Try bbMPEG, it does pretty decent job.
