  1. I agree that VirtualDub & TMPGEnc are very great tools. But I wonder whether either one of it can make good editing like Ulead Media Studio, Adobe Premiere etc.

    If can, how can I do these?
    1. Put a series of images file for about 5 seconds in between 2 clips;
    2. Adding transition

  2. Err, I don't think they can... especially with cross-fades and stuff.

    However, I could be wrong. If either of them can do it, I would bet on Vdub over TMPEGenc, simply because I know next to nothing about Vdub. For all I know, Vdub might be able to do my laundry if I click the right setting. I've only used it to extract WAVs from DIVX clips. I think it has basic editing capabilites... so it MIGHT be able to insert images into existing clips... it probably wouldn't look very spectacular though.
