I use Virtual Dub and
1 converted a DIVX to AVI,
2 added subtitles (SSA-file using VirtualDub TextSub filter)
3 Frameserved creating a *vdr-file.
TMPGenc accepts the *vdr-file after adding MSVCR70.dll in the C:\windows\system directory.
Loaded the VCD-PAL frame (352*288).
After the "start" command in TMPGenc the following error message occurs:
"The error occured when ACM was initialized"
Aftter the second "start" attempt the second error occurs:
"Illegal floating decimal point caculation order".
I checked TMPGenc settings but cannot find the reason.
Can anybody help me?

I've searched
Still nothing. I've been encoding vcd and svcd for a while and this new problem halt me dead. HELP!! -
What version of TMPEGenc are you using. If its 2.54 then upgrade to 2.54a since there is a known bug with 2.54 reading reading audio properly if the external VFAPI plug-in was used.
The ACM message refers to the windows Audio Compression Manager which is used to decode or encode audio using the audio codecs you have installed on your system. You might want to reinstall your audio codecs. If you know which codec your are using then go into the control panel. Choose sound & multimedia. If you cycle through the tabs you should find a list of audio codecs. If you look at the properties of each codec you will have the option to increase the priority of each one. For example if you are using an MP3 codec then increase the priority to 1. -
Thanks for your reaction to my problem.
Well I am using TPMGenc 2.54a pro.
I checked the codec list. There are 15 codec entries. The problem is that I cannot identify what codec I use with TMPGenc and also what codec entry priority I have to change.
Any Idea? And is the floating point error gone after solving the ACM-issue?
Thanks in advance for your assistence.
