I am sort of new to capturing and have read that Huffyuv provides better results than picvideo. Whenever I use Huffyuv with either YUY2 or RGB24 I get a few horizontal lines about 3/4 of the way up the screen. If I use picvideo there are no lines YUY2 or RGB24. I am capturing with vdub and I've tried bringing the file into tmpgenc and setting deinterlace and noise reduction and a few other filters, but nothing fixed it.
My specs are: WINTV GO, 1ghz AMD tbird, 512mb ram, capturing to a dedicated 45gb 7200 RPM hdd.

This is going to sound simplistic but it is good advice: If MJEG works perfectly for you...use that. Huffy is a great codec and it works fine on my system but I use MJEG by choice because I think it compresses better than Huffy and I like my long term results better. In short.....the difference between Huffy and MJEG is a minute one....it isn't worth the stress.
