how much??? i guess the quality isn't that great either huh?
i heard some stuff about it. -
Price? How's $160 sound, s/h included?
The DVC II is a nice piece of hardware, I just haven't used it since I picked up my Sony DVMC-DA1 media converter.
The DVC II captures video to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 formats in real time. The VCD standard MPEG-1 captures are so-so, but the higher bitrate MPEG-2 captures are very nice. Capture, remux (I remux everything to be safe), and burn to CDR.... that's it.
If you're interested, check out this site which has a compatibility list on it. Some motherboards/chipsets do not PCI busmaster correctly and the DVC II won't work with them.

aznguy - what's your computer's processor speed? the quality probably sucks because you have a slow processor, making you capture at low resolutions. both of those capture devices you have should capture at great quality. :P
