I think the answer is no. I'm not positive, though.
AVIsynth will definitely work for 3 or more passes, and will increase your encoding speed. it can do everything that VDub can do, only faster--it can even use VDub filters 8)

yes it will work. I frameserver from Vdub using donald grafts resize filter and it lets you resize perfectly with a few clicks.
