  1. Situation:
    1) I used SmartRipper v2.34 and I made a rip of the content of dvd.
    2) I used the options " files " and I selected all files. 3) In the option " settings " it was already selected deMacrovision.
    4) I use a Hollywood + and i pretended to record the film in VHS,
    5) I connected the output of H+ to the video recorder.
    6) I played the film from the hard disk.
    7) Supposedly the protection macrovision was an0ed but in the reality this didnīt happened. The recorded film was still with the macrovision on.

    Questions:

    1) Why smartRipper v2.34 did not annul the Macrovision effectively?

    2) Are there more efficient rippers in this chapter.

    I thank suggestions

  2. Hollywood+ has Macrovision in hardware, that's where it comes from...

Those Macrovision bastards! I saw on the evening news the other day where they've developed Macrovision of audio CDs. Some labels are reportedly already using this technology on CDs that are not marked as Macrovision-"protected".

  4. yeah, but head over to http://www.cdmediaworld.com and someone has already defeated that... there's just one DLL to change if you get pops in your MP3 rips...

  5. oh, and if you find a CD like that where this fix gets past the Macrovision protection, return it to the store for an exchange as "defective". then bring that one back. and then try again. that way the store sends half a dozen opened CDs back to the manufacturer, and eventually they might get the point. if they're going to crap up CDs, they should at least mark them.
