    I have been looking all over on the net to make this DVD player code free. The hacks in vcdhelp.com don't work.Is there anything I can do to make this DVD player code free?

    You can't make it code free with the remote or with only a new firmware. It requires a hardware modification...some stores can make it for you or maybe you could buy some "kit" to fix it.
