    Hi all,

I've got a weird problem with my PC which seems to have manifested itself ever since I re-installed winXP.
I've got a DVDR which for some strange reason my PC refuses to read, what's odd is that I had no problems reading it before I re-installed windows....
I've checked to make sure I've reinstalled everything tha t Ithink I need to, ie the latest VIA chipset drivers, Adaptec's ASPI layer, but when I put the disc in windows takes ages to try to read it, then gives up.
If I try to run Smartripper it just says there's no disc.
I can't understand why this has happened - unless the disc is duff of course.
The only other thing I can think of is that my original XP install was over the top of winME, and the new install is completely fresh.
I've got some other DVDR's which I think are the same make and I can read these without problems.
Has anyone else experienced this, or am I missing something when I reinstalled windows ?

  2. Take the DVDR out of the CDR drive and place in DVD-ROM drive?
