DVD.it Wont Recognize MPEG Files Encoded in TMPEGENc

I'm using DVDit to make a DVD, I made some great menus, but when I tried to add my Video Files to the Media List, they won't show up, but I don't get any error messages.

The movie files are MPEG2 encoded in TMPEGEnc. Have I done something wrong, anyone know of a fix?

the newer releases of tmpegenc seem to have a slight compatibility problem. on some computers it helps to have the video file opened in windows media player, doesn't always work tho.

I tried opening the movie in WinMediaPlayer but DVDit still didnt recognize it...

The strange thing is if I rename one of the files I get an error that says the shortcut file links to a file that cant be found... So it's as though the file *is* in the media list, but it's just not visible.... I wonder if thats a problem with the software..?

Any thoughts anyone?

I also experienced the same problem with DVDit. Although the spec of the TMPG dvd templates looks ok to me as far as compliance goes, DVDit just won't have it. Bizarrely, ReelDVD, Sonic's more expensive and more functional package WOULD accept the files.

One of the main things is, always retain the audio as a separate track - makes it more simple as some authoring software doesn't like multiplexed files, especially those with mpeg audio.
