I have a fairly old laptop computer that I would like to use as a vcd player. I need your advice on the best "TV Output" type device that will plug into my computer and allow me to output to a television's RCA type audio and video connectors.
TIA
Steven

There are several devices, but most cost $100 and up
TV-Ator is prbably the cheapest. -
I was expecting to spend $100 to $200. I realize that a standalone DVD player is cheaper, but I have other uses for a laptop that will output to a TV. What do you recommend in this price range?
Thanks

I have been looking around and the TView Gold by Focus Enhancements looks pretty good. Does anyone have an opinion about this device?
Thanks

Scan converters like the Tview Gold are probably a good solution.
However, you could also get a video card with TV out and obtain equal or near-equal results for less money.
ATI is famed for its TV-out chip. -
Im not sure about the connections for a laptop, but ViewSonic has an external computer to TV device. Price was around $130 US.
