When trying to burn a VCD using the Ulead Video Studio 6 that came with my ADS USB Instant DVD I am getting an error message which says "Failed in performing power calibration". MyDVD 3.5 also came with the unit and I was able to make VCDs (with very bad audio sync) using that program. Ironically, before buying the USBIDVD I was using the trial version of Video Studio 6 and made a few good VCDs with that. No error messages.
My latest attempt was with VCD Easy and it produced a good VCD using the same burner and media. In the VCD Easy message log I did notice a line saying "Starting power calibration" and shortly thereafter a line saying "Power calibration not supported". The program continued on and burned a VCD that plays well on my DVD player.
Does anyone know how to turn the Power Calibration step off in Video Studio 6 ? This may apply to some of the other burning programs in which people are seeing these errors while using a known good burner and media.
