i have ripped a dvd, so i am left with two files: vts_01 audio (260mb) and another file vts_video (4 gig), is it just a matter of dragging the files to dvd recorder and writing, or is there another way?(i can write ac3 files)

you need to break the vob into it's componate streams.

The vob is really an mpeg video stream, several audio streams, subtitle streams all wrapped up.

DIVX-Digest.com has programs that can break apart the vob
