Hello,
I am new at ripping DVD (~7gb) to DVDr (4.7gb). I followed the How To Rip guide on this site, but I am still confused. I ripped the entire DVD to my drive and used IFOedit to check what files are need. According to the guide, it tell my that I need titles 1,5, and 6. This should correspond to VTS_1, VTS_5,a nd VTS_6 files. However, the dvd contains files from VTS_01_01 to VTS_01_08. I tried using smartripper with the movie feature to rip only sectons for dvd to fit into a smaller DVDr. This is very different from the guide, where is is only few titles and 1 program chains. This DVD got only 1 Title, but tons of program chains (1 - 40).
My questions is how can I fit all into smaller DVDr and retain the menu? any hints....
Thanks

I went dvd2dvdr and followed the instruction. I used smartripper to extract the correct vob files with ifo. I changed all output files to the same name. I used ReMPEG2 to encode the file.
I downloaded SpruceUp 1.1 trial to create a menu. In the movie tab,, I right click to import the m2v file. However, an error keeps popping up when I select the m2v file (movie Tab) from the Spruce-It. The error msg states that
"Temporal Reference in GOP #2387 (Zero-based_ are out of sequence (0xc10b000a)
My guess, is that the file from smartripper or rempeg2 is not dvd compliant. If so, how can I make it compliant.
What is this error and how can I fix and get to next and final step, which is to burn my first dvdr.
Thanks,
Rage
