  1. After recently formatting my computer and getting everything back to the way it was before I seem to be having a problem with IE6 dealing with .png image files. After installing "The Gimp"(an image editor) it changed the file so it opened under it however I changed it back under the file types to open under IE6. Now though whenever I click on a .png file it pops up with a message saying I have chosen to download this file and gives me some different options like open, save, cancel and more info, this despite the fact that the file is on my computer already.

I am running Windows 98SE and IE6 and also have no problems viewing the files if they are on a webpage or if i create a html file with the png file on it.

    Thanks
