I just made my first VDC using Virtualdub 1.4.9, TMPGEnc 2.5.4 and VCDEasy 1.0.9. and I used the help guides provided. Everything works fine except for the fact that when I used VCDEasy, the CUE/BIN file is only 29 meg and the original file is over 550 meg. in other words VCDEasy only recorded the first 2 minutes and 40 seconds of a 55 minute movie. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

You have not done anything wrong, chances are the mpeg you inserted into the compilation is corrupt or has bad blocks.
When VCDEasy detects the bad section, it truncates the mpeg (in the compilation, not the actual mpeg) and creates the image using only the pre-bad section yet doesn't tell you this factI'll bet your mpeg has errors aroung the 2 min 40 sec mark.
Check it with VCDEasy using the TOOLS / Mpeg Scan function. If it detects any errors (which it most likely will) you'll have to fix them.
I'm not sure if this will work, but you could also try disabling both compliance check options on the Main compilation screen. Although I think VCDxBuild or whatever the program is VCDEasy calls to create the image will detect the errors regardless and you'll have to re-encode/fix the mpeg anyway.
