Newbie here.......Something is obviously wrong with my MPEG files, but I am very new at this and cannot figure out the problem. I am trying to create my first VCD with some MPEG files filmed at a recent Wilco concert.
When attempting to open my MPEG files within Virtual Dub, I get this message, "MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error.
When attempting to open the MPEG files within TMPGE, the error message says, "MPEG files are unsupported".
Thanks in advance for any insight or assistance anyone might be able to provide me with.

One more thing...the MPEG files play perfectly on my computer, so I know they work.
I also just tried to do an MPEG>MPEG conversion on VCDGear and the message just says "unable to create output file".
