    Hi!

I'm an assistant-editor, currently working for a small publicly-funded educational TV channel. They've been scaling up their amount of in-house productions in the past few years and had no post workflow before I started my contract, so, I'm slowly setting things up for them.

I decided to use Shutter Encoder to generate proxies. It works pretty well. I output them in DNxHR LB with a LUT and a watermark. The audio tracks are kept as is.

However, DJI's H.265 always gives me artifacts when I decode it using software based on ffmpeg, mainly, VLC and Shutter Encoder. This issue has apparently been going on for a few months, across different DJI drones and drone ops, according to a coworker. The only solution I've found is using Resolve, which decodes it considerably better.

This is a bit cumbersome. While I love Resolve, using two different softwares to generate proxies is annoying and I'd like to avoid using proprietary stuff for this gig.

Has anyone else had this issue with DJI's H.265 and ffmpeg? Have you found a solution?

Harware: Dell XPS tower running Win 11

    Thanks!
