    I can't figure out why my Samsung Tablet casts from apps or my SD card to my Sony TV with no problem but when I was at a friend's house I could cast everything on my tablet to his Sony TV EXCEPT the casting icon would not show once I switched to my SD card? Why not the SD card when everything else worked?

    Their TV might use Miracast or some other protocol that doesn’t play nice with SD card content.
    Try using a different casting app like LocalCast or AllCast—sometimes those work better for tricky connections.

    The other TV is a Sony, just like mine. That's why it was baffling?? I will try another app though. Thanks for the reply!
