    I find that MakeMKV can work at different speeds. Using the same DVD Drive AND the exact same DVD, sometimes it takes 45-60 minutes for a complete rip and other times it will finish within 4-5 minutes.... Seems like the thing just has a mind of it's own.

    Anybody know what's going on here?? TIA....

    Disc information is often stored in the software, so the second time will take much less time.
