AFAIK VCDImager is the only up-to-date authoring tool, that creates VCD 1.1. Check the tool section, there you will find a lot of VCDImager GUI's. If you don't want chapters and something like this start with Baldrick's VCDImagerGUI. Burn the image with CDRWIN, CDRDAO or Fireburner.

  4. the terapin makes vcd1.1

and is the quality of vcd1.1 less than vcd2.0.

I have also read on this site about specialty settings like lowering the bitrate to 1123 however this would now become a non-standard vcd.

Do a seach on the site for NAPA and you'll probably find the info your looking for I know I saw it some where. Also some people say it's a bad playr I was thinking about buying a 311 myself, but a friend of mine says his vcd 1.1 made by the teapin are jumpy, so maybe you and he both have a bad player.

    Hope this Helps

Video-CD 1.1 is the latest format used by Philips for CD-i movies (white book). Video-CD 2.0 is an extension of of Video-cd 1.1. E.g. it was added PAL support, support for segment items and Play back control. The total bitrate of both formats is 1374 kbps. In theory every player, that plays VCD2.0 should play VCD 1.1 without problems. The quality of the MPEG video does not depend on the Video-CD format.
