What brand/color/size/etc. CD-R/CD-RW will have the best quality for my (S)VCD's? I have an RCA RC5210P.

as long as it plays in your DVD player, it should be fine..
I try not to use crappy generic silver-topped CDR's though, the unbranded ones that you can hold up to the light and they look transparent.
at the moment I'm using 80min Jungle CDR's, I got 100 for about £25 at www.jungle.com

I can't understand why people think cd-r media matters, its digital right? that means it is 1 or 0, it will never be displayed as .5 to the video decoder. The only reason it would make a difference is durablibty, but if you handle your cds properly, what do you have to worry about? (unless of course you dvd player can only read a certain colour)

I think green rock was talking about the reflectivity of the CDR.
Not all brands reflect the same.
It doesn't matter how good the digital conversion process is if the signal doesn't get relfected back properly.
