Hello there forum users!
I have a question which I hope someone will have the answer too![]()
I have a JVC XV-SA72SL player which I bought in Sweden. It outputs PAL50 on PAL movies (DVD, SVCD and VCD) and converts NTSC movies to PAL50 too.
In the conversion from NTSC which is about 30fps to PAL50 which is 25fps the movie plays a little jerky. Especially in high motion scenes. If there was a way to bypass the conversion to PAL50 and make it output NTSC movies in NTSC to my TV-set they would play just fine, because my TV supports both PAL50 and NTSC.
The manual doesn't say anything about NTSC output, so is gives me no help at all. I mailed the JVC support, but I didn't get any answer. I know there is a service menu on the player mentioned in this post: http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=87075&highlight=jvc . It's really about the JVC XV-SA75DG, but they are the same except that it outputs NTSC and not PAL. If there was a way to set the JVC XV-SA72SL in NTSC mode it would be great. Perhaps someone out there have succeeded.
Regards simonize
