  1. I just downloaded spiderman SVCD Centropy version 1,2, and 3. They are all about 720-750MB. TOO BIG FOR A CD-R!!! Should I convert to MPEG-1? Is there a codec I can use to reduce size, but still be compatible with my DVD Player (it plays SVCDS). Also, I have noticed that the brightness fluctuates. Is there a TMPGEnc filter that corrects this, or is it already the best its going to get? Is a filter that will remove some of the blocks in high actions sequences?

    Thanks

  2. The files are the right size they will all fit on one cd each. Just burn as a PAL SVCD. And the quality of the movie that you have now is the best it is going to get.

An 80 minuit cd-r can fit those files. vcd uses a different file structure than a normal cd so theeres more room. Also where did u get those files?

  8. I got them from eDonkey2000, I got them w/o sharereactor.com, but i recommend you do. It took me about 30hours for all of it b/c of slow uploads on the other end.

mode 2 burning on nero (SVCD/VCD) can fit about 800 MB on a 80 min CD-R and about 750 MB on a 74 min CD-R...

so there should be no problem to fit them on cd-r

  10. I downloade the same files

    take the mpg files

    open nero

on the nero menu check SVCD

    click ok

    select cd1

    drag it over

it will check the file, if it brings up some error, try multyplexin (tmpgenc) and start again

(look in the SVCD to MPEG2 section)

then from there burn the cd.. boom VCD heven :) enjoy

repeat the same for the next 2 cd's play in any svcd compatable dvd player

the AVI files your talking about (160 Mb) are probablly crap in comparison to a 2.2gigs worth of svcd files

  12. check a few of the posts in the forum, U need to demux all three cd's with dvd2avi then run the all through tmpeg with a pal vcd template. disk 1 & 2 will merge 2gether perfectly leaving disk 3 to become disk 2 if U wanna a 2 disk set vcd.

    Kev!

mine is still good quality & plays mint no sync probs!!

  14. Re: ShareReactor...

They are a fine group of people who run a site (www.sharereactor.com) which works in tandem with Edonkey... You look through the site, find something you like and click to download. It auto-starts Edonkey with the selected files added to your download list....

  15. The spiderman files should be in SVCD format ready to burn onto three cds, dont convert to two VCDs the picture quality is bad enough already.
