  1. One of these has popped up in my neighbourhood - I've heard some negative things about Blackmagic on here - but this looks like it could be similar to the brighteye 75. Has anyone got any experience with one or otherwise any opinions?

    It includes apparently 8 TBC's in it for each of the inputs.

    I'm not sure from that image whether it supports S-Video yet though. I like it's switchable SD/HD though, seems like it might have dedicated analogue circuits.

  2. I don't think there is any way to know without trying one. It's probably set up to work properly so the inputs are synchronized when switching between inputs but if it's done well even when fed unstable video and how they've set up whatever video decoder IC they've used is anyone's guess.
