  1. lo ppl,

bought a few days ago a philips dvd 762.
i have plenty of films on vcd/svcd which should run on the player.
Just half of them run without problems. The other half is taken by the player, it recognizes correctly vcd / svcd but when u press play, i can just see a screen like u see it when u switch to a pay-tv channel in tv without having a decoder. I can hear the sound correct but the picture is totally fekked. (Looks a bit like if u wouldnt have the frequency right adjusted in the TV. u hear sound but just silly pics.)
These CD´s work properly in the PC and on the stand alone player at a friend of mine. Some films, which have more then one CD, just one CD runs, the other not. But they are burned same way, same CD type.
    Somebody an idea ??

    thx,

    lev

  2. well, meanwhile found the problem.....and maybe in the future some may consider the same problem so here is the solution i found.
i use a Loewe tv, capable of both pal/ntsc. it was adjusted to PAL, like the player also. Ripped films have also been in PAL.
So dont ask me the fekk why, but putting player/tv both to ntsc worked. all cds run now.

    greetz
