I have been trying to digitize all of my dvd's over the past few weeks. I recently bought a 1TB thumb drive to store the converted DVD's (converted to mp4). My problem starts after I get around 60G of the space filled on the thumb drive. Once I hit around 60GB of storage on the thumb drive, any movie that I try to transfer after that point, becomes unplayable once I remove the thumb drive from the computer (always using the eject button). I have already checked for drive corruption, reformatted to NTFS, repartitioned, etc... I am out of ideas to try and make this work. I am wondering if I got a false labeled thumb drive, or if there is another way to try that I haven't thought of yet.

It would help if you can tell us the thumbdrive model and maker and how much you paid for it. If it very cheap them it might be a fake drive.
Thumbdrives can get very hot. I would recommend to buy 1TB SSD. I bought one recently from Amazon for ~$70 and I just used a 2.5" SATA to USB enclosure by Ugreen. Works like a charm. -
Subtitles,
The drive that I bought was a brand that I am not familiar with (YSeaWolf) no known model. It was cheap off from A**zon
I am sure that has something to do with it. The only problem with the SATA SSD solution would be the ability to play it on a android box. I am uncertain if I could find a cable that would allow integration with the box. That would mean some kind of sata to usb cable and I am not sure the box would supply enough power for the drive. The box that I am using is the neumi Atom 4k. Is there a way to actually see what the capacity of the drive is? The only other factor that I had not mentioned is that I have the drive set up in one large partition. I am not sure if I set it up into smaller ones if that would make a difference.

Your thumbdrive could be fake.
You can test this with FakeFlashTest
https://rmprepusb.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/FAKEFLASHTEST_v1.1.5_password_is_fake.zip

Attention. This test will delete all data on the drive. So save all files before.
After the test you have to reformat the thumbdrive. -
You will have no problems running an SSD on your Atom box. I run a 1tb SSD on my Samsung phone using a USB-C to USB-A to USB-C adapter.
I also note that that box is powered, so definitely no issues power-wise. -
I have seen the price of this flash on Amazon it is only $14 for 1TB?? For this price, it looks like a fake flash they are probably using a 64GB SD card inside and mark it as 1TB.
Try to send it back to Amazon and get a refund, if you are eligible. This is one advantage of buying from Amazon they have a good refund policy.
Buy a 1TB SSD and the cable mentioned above for connecting to your Android box and this Ugreen Enclosure all in one order.
It is good to have only one partition.

I'd look for an enclosure with a USB-C connector or get something like a Sandisk Portable SSD. They cost a more but will be easier to manage, cable-wise. You'll be able to use the USB-C lead to charge your phone and other devices.
Agree. I'd go further and report it as fraudulent and that Amazon shouldn't be hosting that rubbish.Try to send it back to Amazon and get a refund, if you are eligible. -
Thanks to everyone for the answers. It was in fact a fake thumb drive. I did get with Amazon and I am getting a refund. They are also forwarding this to their fraud department. In the mean time (im going on a trip tomorrow) I will get a big box store thumb drive so I at least have something to watch on the trip.
