    i have a rare anime video i d/l from the internet due to its raraty i want to back it up. it is in divx 5 however when loaded into TMPGenc or virtual dub it goes all currupt but the file is good the video plays in any media player but the audio wont play in anything other than the player 2.0 released by divx.com is there a way to salvage this or am i just gong to have to find a biger cd?

    did you try to open the file in virtual dub, open the extended options(or whatever the button says) and rederive the key frames, and then do a direct stream copy, or, if you have room, full processing mode, uncompressed avi and use that?

    when i hit play in vdub (not doing any thing special) i get green boxy courrptness. not sure if that helps you (no i havent done what you said but i didn't think it would help cause of the greenboxy ness)
