AC3 Divx to VCD (NTSC)

how do i get the .wav out of the .avi of a DIVX with AC3.

tmpg says BAD Format
Virtual Dub says Bad ACM ....

i have installed the proper AC3 and divx codecs.. the movie plays and sounds fine

also i tried installin powerdvd for the codec.. nothing..

i just need the audio out.. or a way to convert the movie to VCD

have tried on win ME and win2k
with 3 dif versions of tmpgenc.. brand new.. and real old..

open the avi in virtualdub, select "Save WAV" from the file menu, and rename the wav to *.ac3. Now, use ac3dec or azid or whatever to convert the ac3 stream to wav. Load the new wav file into TMPGEnc.

use tmpeg 12a and convert it to vcd... you said you wanted to make either a wav or a vcd of it... I have the same system (except it's overclocked to 880) and convert divx to vcd all the time with 100% success everytime.

also... w/ vdub, are u setting it to full processing mode?

Yes i have tried FULL Processing and direct stream..

this is not a REGULAR Divx..

it uses AC3 codecs for the AUDIO

i can convert all other divx fine.. with no probs
i need help with the ac3 ones
