    Hi.

    Normally from my Panasonic DMR-ES10 I go out in S-Video, but for this test I didn't have enough cable and I didn't want to unplug everything behind my devices

    Or what exactly is your problem / question?

    Simple answer/suggestion: Buy enough cables if you think this will solve your issue.

    If you are testing don't use lossy DVD mpeg-2, Use lossless digital stills or more efficient lossy video codecs. The baked in mpeg-2 artifacts can be seen even through a dull VHS recording.
