  1. I need a really good program to split avi files.

Avi chop is the best thing that I have ever seen. BUT, it does not work with XP.

I tried the FX splitter, but I hate that program. It seems to take forever. When I finally found the progress bar, it had barely moved in over an hour.

Please help. There must be a simple avi splitter out there that works with windows XP and that is not that fx splitter program.

Ill give it another try and can be more specific if I run into trouble.

Tmpgenc can merge and cut mpeg files. Go to File > MPEG Tools > the Merge & Cut tab.
