i have encoded a movie to svcd and went to split it with tmpg merge and cut. the first part came out fine, but the second part seems to freeze right when its suppose to mux? what can i do to fix this?

  2. I tried tmpgenc merge & cut to split a movie too IT SUCKS. In tmpgenc, if you go to settings/advanced put a check in "source range" and then doubleclick "source range" and use that to split your movie. All my svcds are working perfectly using this method. If you still insist on merge&cut you will find that the second part of the split will have to be reencoded. Don't know why

one easy way to accomplish splitting your SVCD's is to encode as elementary streams(audio only, and video only) and then using BBMPG, under start encoding, load up your audio and video streams, set stream type to VCD or SVCD, and then set max output for 790MB(for 80 minute CDR's) this will mux, and split by filesize, and it will make the flles so that they fill your discs.

thanks everyone... i have solved this by demux(tmpg)/remux the whole movie in bbmpeg. turned out great! the only reason i did'nt do it before is because my hard drive is small(4 gig).from now on i'll split it b4 i convert.that works too!
