I need to use old tube TV for a project. It has VIDEO IN and AV IN. I shall make the video in computer however I have no idea what codec to export it to. I hope to use some kind of multimedia player for playback with AV out. Or maybe it does not matter as long the player is able to play it and will send proper signal out through composite anyway?

That all should depend on your media player's capabilities.
