  1. Hello everyone,

I've used Daum PotPlayer for years now (and KMP before it) and never had any issues with it, recently though, I'm starting to have an issue with it all of a sudden, clicking the "Play" button will not play my last played file automatically, instead, it will bring up the "open" window for me to browse for the file I want to play (defaulted to the "Videos" folder under my user account in windows, I'm on Windows 10 x64 by the way).

I tried everything to correct that but haven't had any luck so far, here's some stuff I tried:

    - Checking the "play the last played file" box under Preferences -> General -> Startup (looks like the right option for my

case but NEVER WORKED OUT !)

    - Resetting my Preferences

    - Uninstalling PotPlayer and Reinstalling it

    - Using a different version/build of PotPlayer (I have to mention here that there was that one time when I used a x86 version of the player and it worked for a couple of days THEN it went back to the same behavior without me changing anything)

Finally I'd like to mention that I'm NOT trying to get the player to REMEMBER last played POSITION within a playlist or a single file, I've seen MANY posts discussing that and it's NOT what I'm trying to do. I simply want the player to play me the very last file it was playing the last time I used it, that's all

Sorry for the lenghty post and thanks alot in advance for any ideas and help...

  2. Strange, I can not solve your issue in Potplayer, but I love MPC-BE for almost 6 years now, before I used MPC-HC. Run the portable version for first tests, nightly preferred, it is rocksolid.

  5. I just wanted to let you guys know that I finally found the solution for this...in case anyone runs to this same issue.

It's under: Playback -> Playlist -> Remember default playlist/recent URLs -> this has to be ENABLED

Thanks again flashandpan007, appreciate your help, and I'll still give MPC-BE a try since you stated it's been running great too
