Use mediaino (put it in text view for all details) and compare a working with a non-working file

If you don't see anything obvious, post the results here

I would do a test encode, perhaps a few minutes, set the AVC/H.264 encoder to use preset Medium, bitrate control CRF 18
    and see if that works

I might need a little hand hold here until I understand what going on I really appreciate the help. So I only see AVC/H.264 the rest I don't see. Jeff

Unfortunately I do not FF installed, so I cannot advise further. How do you play these files in the car, USB stick?
If you want something simple for this conversion, I'd recommend FFmpeg and simple command line
which you can put in a batch file so you just drag your source onto it and it will start

  9. You could also try to change the profile level (from 4 to 3) on the non working video.
No recode is needed, so there is no quality loss.
    Use clever FFmpeg-GUI.

  12. Follow the indications.
Download a ffmpeg static build for your system (x86 or x64) (you can click the link after download from here).
Extract the downloaded file to any location you want on your computer. Then point to the folder that contains ffmpeg.exe, ffprobe.exe and ffplay.exe.
    That's all.
You have to do this only one time.
