i am trying to get the best pic out of my vcd..... under adv settings and image filters, is there any filter that i can cut on to make the pic better????
especially under video filter because i notice latley wit panasonic that my movies audio is going outta sync and i am tryin to find out y especially since it dont happen with tmpgenc (yet anyway)

For PAL, you should change the GOP sequence to 12-12-3 (the third one down the the drop-list). For NTSC, leave it as the top option (the default).
Colour tone correction: PC ONLY!!!
Image filter: if you are encoding from a DVD rip, "none" and "none" are the best settings.
These settings don't affect A/V sync though...

ok.... well most of mine movies are avi that i dl so should i use any image filters for that??????

It depends on the source...
I personally find that anything more than:
Noise reduction: weak
Video filter: adaptive, weakest
leads to overly soft video. In such a case, it may be better to apply filters on your video before encoding (e.g., VirtualDub) or use another encoder with more advanced filters (e.g., TMPGEnc).
