  1. Hi all,

    I have a problem :
    Since 3 days i can t burn dvds anymore. The burn button in nero doesn t light up anymore. Also other burning programs won t detect my burner anymore. In my hardware list he shows ok without conflicts. i ve tried all sorts of things by reinstalling firmwares etc.
    ps. You should know that i swithched aspi from 4.60 to 4.71. Changed it backed to 4.60 top see if that s the problem but no.....

    plz help me!

    my config:
    PIII 800 392mb
    nec 1300a writer on sec.slave with dma enabled.Firmware 1.08 (tried also 1.09)

    Reinstall Windows.
    Probably the aspi drivers screwed up neros aspi, so maybe a reinstall of nero will work, but i always reinstall windows, its probably time anyway

  3. Try deleting the drive and let Windows add your drive again. Also, did you manually reinstall aspi 4.60 or did you use forceaspi? Forceaspi should overwrite the previous aspi layer. Nero InfoTool will let you know if you aspi layer is corrupt or not.

    *You can delete your drive by going into the control panel and looking under "administrative services." You should find your drive listed in computer management. If you uninstall it, Windows should find your drive (device) the next time you reboot. It can't hurt because your drive isn't recognized and doesn't work properly anyways. Up to you though.

    It's probably better to try an alternative next to reinstalling Windows. But, that's my opinion.

    Oh...sometimes various burning programs conflict with each other, so think back regarding what you installed and when your burner quit working properly.
