What mean m720p, m1080p and so on?

What mean m720p, m1080p and so on? For me, that could mean 2 things:
1 - low bit rate (for example if on BD we have 25mbps, rip that ensure high quality may have 10mbps, and version "m" may have eg. 2mbps),
or
2. not full frame (for example there are digitized or remastered movies on BD, but frame size is 1920x1040 or 1920x1032 or 1920x816 or rip with cut off black parts 1592x1080 for remastered 4:3 recordings).

What is your opinion?

720p = 1280x---, progressive encoded. (g.e. 16:9 full frame 1280x720)
1080p = resolution 1920x----, progressive encoded. (g.e. 16:9 full frame 1920x1080)

Never saw the "m" prefix before but what little I could find seems to suggest that it is very low bitrate rather than a non-standard frame.

Where are you seeing it?

My first thought would be "mobile".

I saw it in some download websites. I think it is used localy by some lame "professionals" only. In fact it probably mean nothing and is used in order to promote itself.
