I rip the dvd with smartripper and burned it with nero 5.5.8.0. It plays fine with PowerDVD but keeps saying invalid video directory when I play it in my other computer dvd drive. I dragged all the files into the nero VIDEO_TS folder and burned. What else can I do?

  2. I don't rip DVd's but do burn DVd's from downloaded movies and this is only a suggestion. I know PowerDVD will recognise any Disc with a video_ts folder at the root as a DVD and play the contents accordingly, some other DVD playing software does not do this, and requires a proper DVD file system to be present. So I would guess that your 'other' PC is not using PowerDVD (please correct me if I am wrong) and that you made some incorrect setting w.r.t. the filesystem when burning with Nero. This would explain why your standalone player wont play it either. There is a guide somewhere on this site for burninmg DVD's with nero, I suggest you give it a look.
