AvsPmod virus reported - false positive?

AvsPmod new release is being reported by VirusTotal (with "high confidence") as malware (multiple detectors).

Is this because it's a brand new version and some detectors have not properly checked it yet?

I'm a bit of a newbie and think it best to not just assume it's false positive so feel I need to check.
