    hello all ... im looking for software for this device that can capture in mpeg4 for my needs, any help would be great

    Try vdub, if you can't get vdub to access the crossbar of your card then you may need Aja proprietary software, In any case capturing to h.264 on the fly is not recommended, Capture lossless, and encode later.

    I don't know of a way to directly capture to h.264 with the LHi either. Their software is pretty much geared toward lossless codecs. Probably best to do a lossless capture and then reencode it later and dump the original huge file.
