Bad Sound Using DvDX-1.8a

hey all,

i just recently ripped oh brother where out tho using clad dvd, and i attempted to convert it to divx 4 using dvdx using the directions on this site. My prob is this:, the video quality is good but the sound is awuful, theres like a jolt or something everything 5 sec and its really annoying. I tried to convert the sound to mpeg layer 3, 192 k/bit but the sound still has this weird like jolt, sync prob of some sort. Anyone have any suggestions to fix it?

Same thing happened to me to. I ripped with smartripper the movie National lampoons vacation and when i used the same version of dvdx 1.8a i had probs to with the sound. it was skipping and stuff like that.
