I bought a usb video capture called easy cap and it works. The only problem is the sound is not clear. My program called Honestech VHS to DVD has a drop down menu for sound and I can use the usb for sound and it works but it is not clear. When I select from the drop down menu the intergraded sound from my computer, I don't get any sound at all. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to get better sound? Should I buy a video card and use the video instead of the usb? Should I buy a sound card and would that give me sound from my computer since it does not work from my intergraded sound? Should I buy better video audio cables from my vhs to the usb easy cap also called grabber 2.0?

As life will have it I coudn't wait for an answer. I bought a more recent version of Honestech and it came with a different usb video capture and the sound is so much better. It was worth the cost for me. As long as I use long dvd from a drop down menu the video is not split.

Absolutely no clue. What is your capture hardware?
