    Hey,

I would like to capture some of the videos from the old VHS and I have a working VHS\DVD player Daewoo drv-6702SV and I did connected it to a USB Grabber Media-Tech (MT4169) trough a scart\component cable things (I did connect yellow -> yellow, red -> red and white -> white).

I installed VirtualDub, however, after selecting the Device "AV to USB2.0" i get a black screen with no video or audio (see attached screenshot).

If anyone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it as I would like to send out videos till xmas

Thank you in advance and if any further info will be needed please do not hesitate to ask, as I will provide with much info possible.

There are also setting you must make in the 'Video' and 'Audio' menus.

Eg. Video Source = composite (not component). Capture Filter = (per your broadcast standard Pal-?)

looks like another easycrap clone to me. you can't use virtualdub as it only converts to mp4 in haardware. use the software provided.

BTW What scart adapter are you using ?

Some of these are switched to have video-in and video-out

But there really should be some instructions with that software. And, again, you can not select s-video unless you have a S-VHS vcr. Most combi units only allow for s-video for dvd playback.

And according to the manual there are several on-screen buttons for Video Settings, Video Format and Video Input. Same as with audio.

What's under device settings and format settings buttons? and also check the VCR manual as DB83 pointed out, 90% of the time for an average user the solution is in the user manual.

Could you have not explored that (which I inferred to above) BEFORE you wasted everyone's time.

Even vdub may work now ?
