DVDx 1.8a won't start, gives error message that it can't find dsound.dll - entry point 11.

(or something like this - I'm at work & my m/c is at home)

I've already ripped the DVD to hard disk.

Tried 98 & 2000 and I've tried copying dsound.dll into DVDx directory without luck.

    Any ideas

  2. You need to install latest DirectX 8.1 to make DVDx work, just copying the file won't help fix anything.

But Win2k doesn't allow me to install Dx8.1, am I missing something?.

    I'll try Dx8.1 on a '98 intallation when I get home.

  4. Of course it can, you just gotta install the specific DirectX 8.1 for Windows2000, you can do it through the Windows Update feature

Yep, works! Kinda new to W2k. Thnx.

DVDx still buggy, doesn't seem to want to do multiple VOBs.

  6. Glad to hear the problem was solved, regarding the multiple VOB's, I think after you load the first VOB file, it automaticly access the rest of them.
