    Hi,
    I only need to convert vidoes, no advanced editing or anything. Tried some free stuff, but installations are full of crap and the conversions are s.l.o.w...
    So, I rather pay for it, but it should be straightforward to use, and fast! Any recommendations?

    Solved. MKVToMP4 utility SW does a 50 min video conversion in 6-7 minutes!

    It dfidn't convert anything, it just remuxed it. Look it up. Jeez.
